NEWS FLASH!

March 15, 2002

Hi there-

Well, I'm afraid there's not much to tell. I've been holed up, working on songs for what I'm hoping will be my first full-length musical: Fits and Starts. Not sure exactly where the story is going, but soon there will be a bookwriter attached, and we can begin carving it out together.

"I Won't Mind" was included in the BMI Showcase at Manhattan Theatre Club earlier this week, sung by the wonderful Randy Graff.

And the also-wonderful Judy Kuhn will be singing one of my Millay songs ("Departure") in her Lincoln Center Kaplan Penthouse show, on March 23rd at 8PM and 10PM.

As for the acting, the only thing on the horizon is a three-week engagement in July of A Class Act in Tokyo. I really hope it happens, because I've been dying to go to Asia for years, and that would be a great way to go.

I've been working on another arrangement for Megan Mullally for another NBC Celebrity album, but it's too early to spill the details. If it materializes, I'll let you know.

Perhaps I should also take this opportunity to mention a Broadway show I just saw which I loved: Metamorphoses. It is beautiful to look at, charmingly acted, incredibly creative in its staging and conception, smart and funny and provocative and ultimately touching. I LOVED IT and recommend it whole-heartedly.

I guess that's all for now--

Thanks for checking in!

Best,

Jeff
